Indiewire's Indie Flicks to Watch This Summer (2013)

Indiewire released The 10 Indies to watch on VOD this July last week and I have my personal have-to-sees that I wanted to share with you all:

Only God Forgives
- Starring: Ryan Gosling and Kristin Scott Thomas
- Premiere: July 19th

Oh no, I don't have commentary for this one. It's Ryan Gosling. What more do you need me to say? Fine, the director is Nicholas Winding Refn (Drive).

I Give It a Year

- Starring: Rose Bryn, Rafe Spall and Simon Baker

- Premiere: July 3rd

I love romcoms and I especially love British romcoms. This one is about a couple dissatisfied with their marriage. Score! Hopefully, it lives up to the indie-hype.

Drinking Buddies

- Starring: Olivia Wilde, (an almost unrecognizable) Jake Johnson, Anna Kendrick and Ron Livingston 

- Premiere: July 25th

I really want to see this film. I think Olivia Wilde is talented and I like Jake Johnson despite the fact that he's in the New Girl ::shudders:: Plus, the concept is great. Beer + Female/Male Besties + Drunkeness = Potentially Awesome Film. I don't know why someone didn't think of this sooner. 

My "Hmmmm this might be kinda good" pick is Like a Woman starring Sienna Miller and Golshifteh Farahani). I may or may not check it. Either way, I will let you know. Look out for reviews of these films!
