About Me

My name is Nikita T. Hamilton and I'm the voice behind Lens Critic. I'm an Annenberg Ph.D fellow at the University of Southern California in the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism and my research focuses on race, gender, stereotypes, media, feminism, politics and popular culture. I've loved movies and television since I was a kid, which is probably why my mom banned television during the week throughout primary school.

I have a ridiculous obsession with romantic comedies and a love of all things Brat Pack. My favorite movie is Heavyweights (seriously, it's Heavyweights) and I can pretty much quote all of Pitch Perfect. I'm just here trying to get the hang of this criticism thing.
